From order to delivery: What’s involved in making our engagement rings

Producing the HIghest Quality Engagement Rings for you....

Our engagement rings usually take between two and three weeks from order to dispatch time.  This is because each ring is made from scratch to suit your exact requirements. 

Order of Engagement Rings

Our orders for engagement rings are followed straight away by an email confirmation with all the details of the engagement ring you have ordered; the metal, the diamond details and the finger size.

Sourcing the perfect diamond

We will now begin to select the perfect diamond for the ring you have ordered.  Each engagement ring head is made for a particular size and we need to find the best diamond by size, colour, clarity, cut, proportions and symmetry.

The Engagement Ring Mount

Sometimes we have the required engagement ring mount in stock ready for your diamond but because of our large range it is more likely that we will hold some of the components in stock in the form of the head or setting and shank (the band).  The components then have to be cast to create the ring mount you ordered. The ring head is then mounted on to the ring shank.  Once this step is complete the diamond will be set into the ring by one of our expert diamond setters.

Hallmarking the Gold, Platinum or Palladium

All our engagement rings and all other jewellery are made in the UK and therefore have a UK hallmark, required by law, indicating the metal from which your engagement ring is made. This is done at one of the UK’s Assay offices.

Setting the Diamond

The important bit where your precious diamond is set into place by the claws of the ring!  This needs an experienced setter to ensure the security of the diamond but at the same time allowing the best diamond properties to shine through.

Finishing the Ring

All our engagement rings undergo a final polish to ensure that it is gleaming and ready for you to present and wear.

Inspection of the Engagement Ring

All our engagement rings are be fully inspected and assessed to ensure that every detail matches that of the original order.  Only then will it be packaged into one of our luxury rosewood ring boxes to be sent to you.  The package will arrive in plain outer wrapping the following day.
